You’ll Need:
Adjustable wrench
Groove joint pliers
Bucket and towel
Plumber’s tape (Teflon tape)
New faucet
Step 1: Turn Off the Water Supply
Locate the shut-off valves under the sink and turn off the water supply. Open the faucet to release any remaining water pressure. Step 2: Disconnect Water Lines
Place a bucket underneath to catch any water. Use an adjustable wrench and/or Groove joint pliers to loosen and disconnect the hot and cold water supply lines from the faucet.
Step 3: Remove the Old Faucet
Unscrew the mounting nuts holding the faucet to the sink.
Gently lift the faucet out and clean the sink area of any old plumber’s putty or debris. Step 4: Install the New Faucet
Follow the instructions from the new faucet package.
Insert the faucet into the mounting holes and secure it in place with
the provided nuts. Step 5: Connect Water Supply Lines
Wrap the threads with plumber’s tape.
Connect the hot and cold water lines to the correct inlet ports and tighten
with a wrench—don’t overtighten. Step 6: Turn On Water & Check for Leaks
Slowly open the shut-off valves.
Turn on the faucet and let it run for a minute.
Check underneath for any leaks. Tighten connections if necessary. That’s it — enjoy your leak-free faucet! If you’d rather skip the hassle, we’re happy to help at Argo Plumbing — professional service, no mess, done right the first time.
