Clogged drains are one of the most common—and frustrating—plumbing issues homeowners face. Fortunately, with a few simple habits, you can keep your drains clear and your plumbing running smoothly.

What Causes Most Clogs?
Kitchen Sinks: Grease, food scraps, and coffee grounds.
Bathroom Sinks & Showers: Hair, soap scum, and toothpaste buildup.
Toilets: Flushing anything other than toilet paper (like wipes, paper towels, or hygiene products).
Easy Prevention Tips:
Use Drain Strainers: Catch hair and debris before they go down the drain.
Dispose of Grease Properly: Never pour cooking oil or grease into the sink—it solidifies and clogs pipes. Instead, collect it in a container and toss it in the trash.
Flush Smart: Only flush toilet paper—nothing else. Even “flushable” wipes can cause blockages.
Run Hot Water: Once a week, run hot water down your kitchen drain to help melt away grease buildup.
Regular Maintenance: Every few months, sprinkle baking soda followed by vinegar down your drains, let it fizz for 10–15 minutes, and rinse with hot water.
